Michael D. Barnello is the President and CEO of LaSalle Hotel Properties. He was named CEO of the company in September 2009. Mr. Barnello served as the company's COO and Executive Vice President of Acquisitions from its formation until Sept. 14, 2009. He is also President of LaSalle Hotel Lessee, Inc. On June 2, 2008 Mr. Barnello was named President of LaSalle Hotel Properties, and he was elected to the board of trustees in July 2008. Mr. Barnello joined Jones Lang LaSalle in April 1995 as a Vice President. Prior to April 1995, he was a Vice President with Strategic Realty Advisors, formerly known as VMS Realty Partners, where he was responsible for hotel asset management since 1990. Concurrently, Mr. Barnello was a Vice President at Stone-Levy LLC, an affiliate of Strategic Realty Advisors, where he was responsible for hotel acquisitions.
