MICHAEL BAKER – ARTHROCARE CORPORATION (ARTC)

MICHAEL BAKER joined ArthroCare Corporation in July 1997 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Baker has led the company to successfully leverage its patented Coblation' technology to capitalize on a multi-billion dollar market opportunity across several medical specialties. He was previously Vice President, General Manager of the Coronary Vascular business unit at Medtronic, Inc., a medical technology company specializing in implantable and invasive therapies. During his eight-year tenure with Medtronic, Mr. Baker held a variety of positions including vice president of Medtronic's Venture Division and director of corporate development and strategic planning. Prior to joining Medtronic, he was a management consultant at the Carroll Group. Mr. Baker holds an undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Profile
