Steven Kandarian is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of MetLife, Inc. Under his leadership, MetLife identified the housing bubble early and reduced its exposure to subprime mortgage-backed securities. Previously, Mr. Kandarian was the Executive Director of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. He has also held positions with Orion Partners, Eagle Capital Holdings, Lee Capital Holdings, State Street Bank and Trust, LCB Holdings, Inc. and Rotan Mosle, Inc.
