RONALD D. TIPTON is the Chief Executive Officer of Montana-Dakota
Utilities Co., Great Plains Natural Gas Co. and President of Utility
Services, Inc., all MDU Resources companies. He also serves as Chief
Executive Officer of all utility services subsidiaries. Previously he
served as President of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. and as President and
Chief Executive Officer of Williston Basin Interstate Pipeline Company
and in various executive and management positions in their operations.
Mr. Tipton was born and raised in Oklahoma and attended the University
of Oklahoma. Prior to joining the MDU Resources family of companies in
1983, he was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. and KN Energy, Inc. Mr.
Tipton has served on the boards of directors of the Midwest Energy
Association, North Central Electric Association, American Gas
Association and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. He is
also active in numerous community organizations. Profile
MARTIN A. WHITE is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
of MDU Resources Group, Inc. He graduated from Montana State University
and Harvard's Advanced Management Program. He worked in various areas
before joining MDU Resources in 1991 as Vice President of Corporate
Development. On April 1, 1998, he was named the President and Chief
Executive Officer of MDU Resources. On February 15, 2001, he was elected

Mr. White: MDU Resources is a 78-year-old company. It's been listed
