MARK SANDERS has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of Pinnacle Systems, Inc. since January 1990. From 1988 to
1990, Mr. Sanders was an independent business consultant. Prior to that
time, Mr. Sanders served in a variety of management positions, most
recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Recording Systems
Division of Ampex Incorporated, a manufacturer of video broadcast
equipment. Mr. Sanders holds a BSEE from Cal Polytechnic State
University and an MBA from Golden Gate University. Always in
electronics, he was an amateur radio operator at 10, an electronic tech
in junior high school (Lockheed) and a Design Engineer in high school
(McDonnell-Douglas). After graduation from Cal Poly in 1966 he served as
a U.S. Naval Officer, was decorated in Vietnam, and joined Ampex
Corporation as an Engineer in 1970. He held various engineering and
marketing positions of increasing responsibility at Ampex, including
Vice President and General Manager of the Audio-Video Systems Division,
the Data Systems Division, and the Recording Systems Division. Profile
