MARK P. FRISSORA is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Tenneco Automotive Inc., the $3.4 billion global manufacturer of
Monroe brand ride control and Walker brand emission control
products and systems. He was elected to his present position in
March 2000 after serving as President and CEO. Mr. Frissora has
over 24 years of automotive related experience in both
aftermarket and original equipment businesses. Prior to joining
Tenneco Automotive in 1996 as Vice President of North American
Emission Control operations for Walker Manufacturing, Mr.
Frissora served for five years as a Vice President at Aeroquip-
Vickers Corporation. From 1987 to 1991, he held various
management positions at Philips Lighting Co., a subsidiary of
North American Philips Corp., including Director of Marketing and
Product Development and Director of Sales. Prior to Philips, he
worked for 10 years in the Lighting Business Group of General
Electric Co. The last two positions he held at GE were Group
Product Manager and Manager of Promotion Development. Mr.
Frissora holds a BA degree from Ohio State University and has
completed advanced studies at both the University of
Pennsylvania's Wharton School and the Thunderbird International
School of Management. He is on the Board of Directors of NCR
Corporation and is a Board member of The Business Roundtable. For
the last two years he has served on the Automotive Board of
Governors for the World Economic Forum. Mr. Frissora also serves
on the Board of Directors of MEMA (Motor & Equipment
Manufacturers Association) and is a member of a number of other
professional organizations including the Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE), the Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers
(AOEM) and the M&A Group. Profile
