MARK CAMPBELL, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Soulfood
Concepts, Inc., a public traded company, oversees operations of the
Shark Bar and Mekka restaurants, a national chain in five locations
across the United States. Mr. Campbell's foray into the restaurant
business began in 1996 when he opened the Soul Caf restaurant in
midtown Manhattan with partner actor Malik Yoba. The restaurant quickly
became a staple of trendy Manhattan culture and a 'go to' for tourists
taking in the New York Broadway shows. Prior to his entrance into the
restaurant business, Mr. Campbell had an illustrious eight-year career
as a Wall Street investment banker. Mr. Campbell parlayed his valuable
banking experience from Wall Street, and successfully formed Kova
Capital, a venture capital concern that provided strategic advisory
services to entrepreneurs, and financed properties in the entertainment
industry. Among his other business experiences, Mr. Campbell served as
President and Chief Operating Officer of Motiontronics, an IBM joint
venture technology company that utilized computer-based technology to
assist medical professionals in the analysis of muscle-skeletal
imbalances in athletes. The company's Board of Directors included Earl
Monroe of the New York Knicks, Dr. Joseph Waltz, Head of Neurosurgery at
St. Barnabas Hospital in New York, and Prof. Joel Snyder, Dept. of
Engineering, Long Island University. Mr. Campbell was recently featured
in the cover story for the Kip Business Report and was a recipient of
the Network Journal's 1999 '40 Under 40 Award.' Profile
