JILL K. EVANS is the senior equity research analyst at J.P.
Morgan with primary responsibility for coverage of the small to
mid-cap basic industries and transportation stocks. For the past
seven years, she was the senior analyst for the marine and
railroad transportation sectors with additional co-coverage of
the trucking, airfreight, and logistics industries. From 1992 to
1995, she provided research coverage of the US airline industry
at J.P. Morgan. Her research has been recognized in several
national polls, including the number two ranking in stock picking
and earnings forecasting for the railroad industry in 2001
according to Thomson Financial/First Call. She has also been
recognized as a top analyst in the ground transportation sector
in the latest polls compiled by Institutional Investor magazine
and Greenwich Associates. In 2000, Ms. Evans was acknowledged in
The Wall Street Journal Best on the Street analyst survey for her
accuracy in forecasting earnings for the railroad sector and she
was also voted 'Best Up and Coming Analyst' in the railroad
sector by Institutional Investor magazine in 1999. She joined
J.P. Morgan in July 1988 as an analyst and then project manager
in the internal consulting group, Management Services. She spent
her last year in Management Services working with McKinsey & Co.,
consulting on a firm-wide cost reduction project. Ms. Evans
