LUDWIG KUTTNER is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Hampshire Group, Limited. Mr. Kuttner was
elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in 1979 and has served as
President and Chief Executive Officer of Hampshire Group, Limited from
1979 to 1992 and from 1994 through the present. Previously, he served in
various capacities in the textile and real estate industries. From 1974
to 1990, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Sch'nes Heim Hausbau
GmbH, a real estate development company in Germany. From 1971 to 1976,
Mr. Kuttner was the General Manager of Pongs & Zahn AG, a public company
in Germany, which manufactured dresses and apparel. He was a Managing
Partner at Kuttner KG Textile Wholesale and Real Estate, also a German
company, from 1969 to 1975. Mr. Kuttner attended the University of
Munich from 1965 to 1967 and the University of Regensburg Graduate
School of Law from 1967 to 1969. He co-founded the New York Academy of
Art in 1985 and has served on its Board of Directors since then. He has
also served on various other boards in Germany, including Nucletron
Electronic AC, a public company, and Albert Schweitzer Stiftung (a
foundation). Mr. Kuttner is married with three children. Profile
