Amit B. Wadhwaney is a Senior Member of the investment team. He manages the Third Avenue International Value Fund and is a Portfolio Manager for Third Avenue Management's private and institutional advisory business. Additionally, Mr. Wadhwaney is Portfolio Manager of Third Avenue Global Value Fund, L.P., a private partnership investing in undervalued companies worldwide. He is a Director of Catalyst Paper Corp., a Canadian paper company. Previously, Mr. Wadhwaney was Portfolio Manager of the Carl Marks Global Value Fund, L.P., the predecessor to Third Avenue Global Value Fund, L.P. Prior to that, he was a Principal of Glenrock Asset Management Associates, L.P. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wadhwaney was a Securities Analyst and subsequently Director of Research for M.J. Whitman, Inc. Prior to that, he was a paper and forest products Analyst at Bunting Warburg, a Canadian research-focused brokerage firm that served institutional clients. Mr. Wadhwaney began his career in the corporate planning group of Domtar, Inc., a Canadian forest products producer. He spent 15 years there as a financial and business Analyst focusing on the newsprint, pulp and fine paper industries. Mr. Wadhwaney received his B.S. degrees in chemical engineering and mathematics from the University of Minnesota, as well as a B.A. with distinction and M.A. in economics from Concordia University, in Montreal, Canada.
