LARRY BARKER is Chief Executive Officer of Visual Networks, Inc. He has
spent over 25 years in the communications industry. His experience spans
companies in all stages of development where he has helped organizations
improve revenue and profitability, navigate through changing market
environments and position themselves for long-term success. Prior to
joining Visual Networks, Mr. Barker was the President of ADC
Telecommunications' Software Systems Business Unit where he was
responsible for worldwide sales and delivery of billing and customer
care, service fulfillment and network performance monitoring software
solutions to the telecommunications market. He managed more than 1,300
employees worldwide and had complete profit and loss responsibility for
the Software Systems Business Unit. Prior to his role at ADC, he served
as President of Saville from June 1999 until the completion of ADC's
acquisition of Saville in October 1999. Prior to that, he was the
Executive Vice President of Operations and directed product management,
development and delivery of five billing and customer care products and
services aimed at the global telecommunications market. Before his role
with Saville, he served as President of Stanford Associates Inc., which
provided emerging telecommunications companies with strategic
management, sales, marketing and operational consulting services. In
addition, he served as President and CEO of the Intelicom Division of
Computer Sciences Corporation Inc. He earned a Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration and Speech Communications from Augustana College
in Rock Island, Illinois. Profile
