KENNETH LONCHAR is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
Veritas Software. Mr. Lonchar is responsible for overseeing the overall
financial functions of the company. This includes financial planning and
policies, accounting practices and procedures, and the organization's
relationship with the financial community. Mr. Lonchar also directs the
controller, accounting, treasury, and certain strategic planning
functions. Mr. Lonchar has served as Senior Vice President and CFO of
the company since January 1999. From April 1997 to January he served as
CFO and Vice President of the company. He was CFO and Senior Vice
President of OpenVision from December 1995 until Veritas acquired the
company in April 1997. From November 1988 until joining OpenVision, Mr.
Lonchar was Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO of
Microtec Research, Inc., a publicly traded software company. Mr. Lonchar
worked with Symmetricom and Granger Associates, both high-growth public
companies, in expanding financial and operations management roles from
1981 to 1988 and began his career with the public accounting firm of
Coopers and Lybrand. Mr. Lonchar holds a BA in Accounting from Arizona
State University, a Master's degree in Business Administration from
Stanford University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Profile
