JOSEPH A. ESPOSITO is the President and Chief Executive Officer of
eResearchTechnology, Inc., a leading provider of technology and services
to collect, interpret and distribute cardiac safety and clinical data
for the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries. In
1997, Mr. Esposito served as President and CEO of DLB Systems, a
developer of clinical research software that eResearchTechnology
acquired from Safeguard Scientifics. Prior to joining
eResearchTechnology, Mr. Esposito held senior executive positions with
Ross Systems and Wang laboratories, companies that provide financial,
supply chain, and document management software and technical services to
the life sciences industry. In 2002, Mr. Esposito was awarded The Ellis
Island Medal of Honor for outstanding citizenship, individual
achievement and encouragement of cultural unity. Four Presidents,
several Senators and Congressmen, as well as Nobel Prize winners are
among the remarkable group of individuals to receive the Ellis Island
Medal of Honor for their outstanding contributions to America. Mr.
