JONATHAN SAFRAN joined Cooper Industries, Ltd., as the Director of Investor
Relations and Corporate Development in 2006, reporting to C. Thomas O'Grady,
Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In this position, Mr. Safran is
primarily responsible for Cooper's communications with investors and financial
analysts and has additional responsibilities in business development and
strategic planning. Prior to Cooper, Mr. Safran worked at Dell Inc. for seven
years in a variety of roles in Finance and Operations, most recently as a Global
Sales Controller responsible for the financial management of a $1.5 billion
sales region with customers in key segments including automotive, information
technology, telecommunications, aerospace and big box retail. Mr. Safran also
worked at Price Waterhouse LLP in the Valuations Services Group, valuing
privately held businesses for tax planning, litigation and mergers. Mr. Safran
earned an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Economics and
Political Science from Swarthmore College. He is a member of the Beta Gamma
Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa academic honors societies. Profile
