JOHN C. WOOLEY is Chairman, President and CEO of Schlotzsky's, Inc.
Under his leadership, Schlotzsky's Deli/E has grown to become a popular
national consumer brand that retains its culinary cultural appeal. Mr.
Wooley bought the company in 1981 when it was a small, family-owned
chain with one product: Schlotzsky's Original_ sandwich. Prior to
Schlotzsky's he was engaged in the development of several real estate
projects including two of Austin's premier subdivisions: Rob Roy and
West Rim. Since the early 1980s, he has worked to revitalize Austin's
downtown warehouse district, where Schlotzsky's Inc. today is
headquartered in a coverted warehouse. In 1997, he was awarded the
Downtown Austin Alliance's First Impact Award for his catalytic vision
