LEONARD H. MCCANDLESS is a Vice President and member of the
Investment Selection Committee at Rittenhouse Nuveen Investments.
He shares responsibility for the firm's fixed income investment
strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McCandless was employed
with W.H. Newbold's Son, Inc., and the Provident Mutual Life
Insurance Company. He is an Investment Consultant to the Keystone
Corporation, and a member of the investment committee for the
Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Mr. McCandless holds professional
memberships in the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, the
National Association of Business Economists, the Financial
Analysts Federation of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia
Securities Association. Mr. McCandless is a graduate of Moravian

JOHN P. WATERMAN is Managing Director of Rittenhouse Nuveen
Investments. He leads the company's investment process and
oversees all research functions for the firm. Mr. Waterman is a
member of both the Executive and Investment Selection Committees.
Prior to joining the firm, he was Senior Vice President and
Director of Advisory Services for Howard, Lawson & Co. Mr.
Waterman is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a graduate of
Williams College and received his MA from the Fletcher School at
Tufts University and his MBA from the Wharton School at the

TWST: Could you briefly describe Rittenhouse Nuveen Investments and yourresponsibilities there?
Mr. Waterman: Rittenhouse was acquired in September 1997 by the John
Nuveen Company of Chicago.
