John Peeler is president of Acterna Corporation and a member of the
company's Board of Directors. He is also President and CEO of Acterna's
communications test and management business, which represents 90% of the
company's sales. Mr. Peeler has a 23-year history in the communications
industry, and 21 consecutive years of experience in communications
testing. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Peeler was
President and CEO of TTC. Before his promotion to that position in 1992,
Mr. Peeler was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of
TTC. Earlier he was Division President for TTC's T-BERD family of test
instruments. Mr. Peeler began his communications career in engineering
in 1977 as a systems design engineer for the predecessor company of
today's Hughes Network Systems. Mr. Peeler earned a bachelor of Science
degree in Electrical Engineering and graduated with high distinction
from the University of Virginia. He received the Virginia Governor's
Fellowship and subsequently earned a Master of Science degree in
Electrical Engineering, also from the University of Virginia, and with
