JOHN G. MURRAY is President and Chief Operating Officer of
Hospitality Properties Trust a REIT with $2.7 billion invested in
hotel real estate. HPT acquires well-performing hotels and leases
them to unrelated, experienced hotel operators. The company owns
251 hotels including 71 Courtyards by Marriott, 37 Residence Inns
by Marriott, 3 full service Marriott hotels, 12 Wyndham and
Wyndham Garden hotels, 15 Summerfield Suites, 57 Candlewood
hotels, 24 AmeriSuites, 12 TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotels,
2 SpringHill Suites by Marriott and 18 Homestead Village Hotels.
HPT's portfolio is well situated in the full service, extended
stay, upscale limited service and all suite segments of the
lodging industry. HPT is the only hotel REIT with an unsecured
investment grade credit rating. Mr. Murray is also Executive Vice
President of REIT Management and Research, a real estate advisory
firm based in Newton, Massachusetts. RMR acts as investment
advisor to Hospitality Properties Trust, HRPT Properties Trust, a
publicly traded office REIT, Senior Housing Properties Trust, a
publicly traded senior housing REIT and other private real estate
holdings. Prior to joining RMR and HPT, he worked at Fidelity
