JOHN DANIEL BAKER II has been President and Chief Executive Officer of
Florida Rock Industries, Inc., since 1996. Prior to that he was
President from 1991 to 1996; Executive Vice President from 1982 to 1991;
President of Florida Rock & Tank Lines, Inc., a subsidiary of Florida
Rock Industries, from 1976 to 1982; President of the Central Aggregates
Division of Florida Rock Industries from 1975 to 1976 and Corporate
Counsel from 1974 to 1975. Mr. Baker graduated from Woodberry Forest
School. He has a BA degree from Princeton University and graduated from
the University of Florida School of Law with honors. Profile
