JERRY D. LEITMAN, CEO, joined FuelCell Energy, Inc. in the fall of 1997
to focus on commercializing the company's leading technologies in fuel
cells and rechargeable batteries. Mr. Leitman's experience in the last
15 years involved products serving industry worldwide. He has extensive
experience in commercializing technologies, market development, and
globalizing businesses and business processes. Prior to joining ERC, Mr.
Leitman was President of the Air Pollution Control Business Area of ABB
Asea Brown Boveri where he established the company as the worldwide
market leader. He was previously President and CEO of the US operations
of the Swedish Flakt Group and Executive Vice President of the parent
group in Sweden. In addition to air pollution control systems for the
power industry, he was responsible for businesses including paint
finishing systems for the automotive industry, industrial drying systems
primarily for the pulp and paper industry, process recovery systems for
the metallurgical industry, and waste incineration systems. Profile
