JEFFREY NODDLE is President and Chief Executive Officer of SUPERVALU,
Inc. He was appointed as CEO in June 2001. Prior to this appointment,
Mr. Noddle acted as President and Chief Operating Officer from June 22,
2000, from a position of Corporate Executive Vice President and
President and Chief Operating Officer, Distribution Food Companies. Mr.
Noddle's 30-year career is distinguished by leadership experience in
food retailing and distribution. In this new position he has
responsibility for all SUPERVALU operations, including its retail store
network of more than 1,100 stores and its national, industry-leading
distribution network. He is also a Director of the company. He has a BA
degree in Business Administration, University of Iowa; Wharton School
Executive Advanced Management Program, Levinson Institute. Mr. Noddle is
on the Board of Directors, Donaldson Company, Inc.; Board of Directors,
BICCGeneral Corporation; Board of Trustees, Boys & Girls Club of the
Twin Cities; United Way Campaign of Minneapolis and a Trustee, The
