JEFF RANDALL is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of i-
STAT Corporation. He spent eight years with Digital Equipment
Corporation, where he held a variety of senior financial and
administrative management positions. In the early 1980s, he left DEC and
over the next 20 years served as CFO of six early stage companies, three
private and three public. In three of these situations, he subsequently
served as Chief Executive Officer. These companies included capital
equipment suppliers to the electronics industry, along with a
development-stage pharmaceutical and a medical device manufacturing
company. His financing experience includes many rounds of venture
capital, private placements and an underwritten IPO and follow-on
offering. Independent of his primary professional focus, he has been a
founder of three companies, providing counsel, capital, personal time
and service as a Director, including service as Audit Committee Chairman
of a public company. He received a Master's in Business Administration
