JAMES D. RAGAN has been a partner and Senior Equity Analyst with
Crowell, Weedon & Co. in Los Angeles since 1999. Officially a
generalist with primary coverage of consumer products and retail,
as well as some technology (PCs and semiconductors), Mr. Ragan
also coordinates Crowell, Weedon's small cap and Southern
California research coverage. From 1992 to 1999 he worked at
PaineWebber Inc. (now UBS PaineWebber) as an Equity
Analyst/Portfolio Manager. Prior to that, he was a partner in a
small cap equity money management business that serviced high net
worth individual investors. Mr. Ragan was the group's principal
equity analyst and focused exclusively on small cap emerging
public companies. He received his BS from UCLA in Accounting and
Economics and his MBA from UCLA (Anderson Graduate School of
