JAMES L. PETERSON is President and CEO, as well as Vice Chairman of the
Board of Directors, for Haemonetics Corporation. Mr. Peterson has been
with Haemonetics since 1979 when he began its international business,
which today represents over 65% of the Company's total revenues. In 1996
Mr. Peterson became President of International Operations and in 1998
assumed his current position. Prior to joining Haemonetics, he held
various management positions in international marketing, sales and R&D
at Hewlett-Packard Corporation. Mr. Peterson has a Bachelor's of Science
in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA
