JAMES D. HARTMAN joined MedAmicus, Inc., in January 1991 and was elected
Chief Executive Officer in February 1996. Prior to assuming the role of
CEO, Mr. Hartman served as the company's President for one year and as
CFO from 1991. Prior to joining MedAmicus, Mr. Hartman held executive
positions with Viking Electric Supply, Inc., a Twin Cities electrical
wholesaler; 10,000 Holdings, Inc., an auto parts retailer; and Knox
Lumber Company, a home improvement retailer, after starting his career
with Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Hartman graduated from the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire and received a Master's in Business Administration
from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a
Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Hartman serves on the Board of
Pillsbury Neighborhood Services, a large Twin Cities-based social
