JAMES C. FOSTER is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. Mr. Foster, who has been
with the company for 24 years, was named President in 1991, Chief
Executive Officer in 1992, and Chairman in 2000. An active member of the
community, Mr. Foster is a Trustee of the Noble & Greenough School and
of the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park. He is a member of the Board
of Directors of BioTransplant, Inc., and of Titterington's Olde English
Bake Shoppe. Mr. Foster received a BA from Lake Forest College, an MS
from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and a JD from the Boston University School of Law. Profile
