Jason J. Tyler is Senior Vice President, Investment Committee and Director of
Research Operations at Ariel Investments, LLC. He oversees the analytic work for
the firm's Investment Team and specializes in the financial services and
infrastructure industries. He also serves as the Investment Team's liaison with
institutional clients and manages the department's broker and vendor
relationships. A former Ariel research intern, he officially joined Ariel in
2003 after spending 10 years at Bank One/American National Bank in various
roles, most recently as a manager in the Planning and Analysis Group. He is a
director of First Chicago Bank & Trust and is a Board member of the Children"s
Defense Fund. Additionally, he serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for
the Joffrey Ballet. He received his MBA degree from the University of Chicago
and his AB degree in Politics from Princeton University. Profile
