Rajesh Varma is a Portfolio Manager for DNCA Finance. He received an undergraduate degree in engineering in 1986, a BSE EECS, and an MBA in finance and venture capital in 1988 — both from the University of Michigan. He started his professional career in 1988 as an equity analyst at Fidelity Management in Hong Kong before moving to Arral Associates as a VP for one of the first Asian hedge funds in 1991. He was a Co-Founder of Ki Pacific Asset Management — an Asian hedge fund boutique — in 1993. He moved to San Francisco in 1997 to join Montgomery Asset Management to help run the Asian fund as well as be the Global Analyst on a few sectors. At the end of 2000, he moved to Paris and joined Eurazeo — a listed VC and PE firm — and spent two years there before joining Carmignac Gestion to run two global sector funds.
