MARTIN J. STEINIK, Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager, began his career in the industry in 1994 and joined Brown Capital Management, Inc., in 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Steinik was a Vice President and Senior Analyst at J. P. Morgan, an Analyst at Morgan Stanley and a Research Analyst at Templeton Investment Counsel. He earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications at the University of Miami. Mr. Steinik holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Baltimore CFA Society, Inc.
Maurice L. Haywood, Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager, joined Brown Capital Management in 2000 and has been in the financial services industry since 1987. Prior to this Mr. Haywood was a Partner & Investment Analyst at Holland Capital Management and an Assistant Vice President at the First National Bank of Chicago. He is a CFA charterholder. Maurice earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Marketing at J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Northwestern University) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting and Finance at Morehouse College. Maurice is a Member of the CFA Institute, Baltimore CFA Society, Inc., and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Roland Park Country School.in May 2009.
STEWART L. GRONEK, Director and Portfolio Manager, began his career in the industry in 1998 and joined Brown Capital Management, Inc., in 2006. Prior to this, he was Senior Financial Analyst at PetsMart, Inc., an Equity Analyst at J. P. Morgan Securities, Inc., and a Research Analyst at M.A. Weatherbie & Company.
