Joe Walicki joined Johnson Controls, Inc., in 1988, and currently serves as Vice President and President of Power Solutions, where he is responsible for leading Johnson Controls’ $6.6 billion Power Solutions business worldwide. He represents the company in the advancement of energy-storage technologies and the support of vehicle energy-efficiency standards, and is an advocate for sound energy and environmental policies. Mr. Walicki was elected a corporate officer in 2015 and is a member of the Johnson Controls executive operating team. He was most recently appointed Chief Operating Officer for Power Solutions in July 2014. Before that, he served as Group Vice President and General Manager, Systems, Services and Solutions, North America, as part of the Johnson Controls Building Efficiency business. Since joining Johnson Controls, Mr. Walicki has served in numerous leadership positions in sales and operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration from LaSalle University. Dr. Beda Bolzenius is Vice President, Vice Chairman — Asia Pacific and President, Automotive Experience of Johnson Controls, Inc. Dr. Bolzenius joined Johnson Controls, Inc., in 2004 as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Europe, Africa and South America for Automotive Experience. In 2005, he was appointed Vice President and President, Automotive Experience. Dr. Bolzenius was named President, Automotive Seating in 2012 and was appointed to the position of Vice Chairman — Asia Pacific in 2014. Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Dr. Bolzenius was employed, since 1986, by Robert Bosch GmbH, an automotive, appliance and machinery manufacturer. He held positions of increasing responsibility, becoming President of Bosch’s Body Electronics division in 2002, where he served for two years. TWST: Would you each start by giving our readers an overview of the division that you lead?
Dr. Bolzenius: I have two roles in the company. First, I am the President of the automotive
