Mike Miclot is currently the Vice President of Marketing, Industrial Solutions at Belden Inc. In this role, he leads the global strategy formation and go-to-market planning and execution in support of Belden’s Industrial Cable products, as well as Hirschmann, GarrettCom, Lumberg Automation and Tofino Security brand solutions. Mr. Miclot joined Belden in April 2009 as the Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Networking and Connectivity Business Unit in the Americas region. Prior to that, from 1990 to 2009, he worked for Rockwell Automation — Allen-Bradley — where he held a variety of business management, marketing, sales and engineering roles over his 19-year tenure. Mr. Miclot has been published in several print media from a variety of industrial automation organizations — including the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, or IEEE; the Instrument Society of America, or ISA; Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI; the Open DeviceNet Vendors Association, or ODVA; and ControlNet International — as well as industry publications: Control Engineering, Control, Automation World, Control Design, Food Engineering, Start, etc. Mr. Miclot earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo and his MBA in international marketing from Cleveland State University.
