Michael J. DeMarco serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Mack-Cali Realty Corporation. He joined Mack-Cali in 2015 and, along with his partner, Mitchell Rudin, is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Prior to joining Mack-Cali, Mr. DeMarco was most recently the Chief Investment Officer of CCRE, a nonbank finance company and one of the largest originators of CMBS. He was also an Executive Vice President with Vornado Realty Trust. Prior to that, Mr. DeMarco was a partner at Fortress Investment, overseeing a number of real estate operating companies that Fortress acquired. Additionally, he was a senior managing director with Lehman Brothers in the company’s real estate investment banking unit specializing in mergers and acquisitions, structured finance and initial public offerings. Mr. DeMarco’s current professional affiliations include being on the board of trustees of NAIOP New Jersey and Saint Peter’s Preparatory School, as well as a member of Urban Land Institute and The International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. DeMarco is a certified public accountant. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a minor in history from Pace University, as well as a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Chicago.
