Duncan Middlemiss, President and CEO, joined St Andrew Goldfields Ltd., in July 2008, as General Manager and VP Operations. Mr. Middlemiss later assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2012, and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2013. Mr. Middlemiss obtained his B.S. in mining engineering at Queen's University in 1989 and worked for Inco Ltd., as Mine Design Engineer until 1995. In 1995 he joined Barrick Gold Corporation at the Holt-McDermott Mine and held the position of Chief Mine Engineer until 2002. He then joined Kirkland Lake Gold Inc., at their Kirkland Lake Operations, where he successively held the positions of Mine Engineering and Production Manager, and since 2007 the position of Mine Manager.
