Douglas J. Shaw has been President and CEO since 2007, the same year in which he led Monotype Imaging Inc. to a successful IPO. Prior to his current role, Mr. Shaw served as Executive Vice President, and in 2004 he oversaw the management initiative leading to the Agfa divestiture and the formation of Monotype. He has more than 30 years of experience in executive and management positions, having served in the type industry for most of his career. In 1986, he cofounded the Font Technologies division of Compugraphic — establishing the business that would eventually become Monotype.
