Udo Rieder is President and Chief Executive Officer of Erickson Air-Crane, Inc. Prior to joining Erickson Air-Crane, Inc., he was Vice President, Parts Logistics and Services, for Bombardier Aerospace, located in Montreal, Canada. Mr. Rieder's background includes over 27 years of aerospace experience, including Vice President, Engineering and Planning, and Vice President, Purchasing, at Delta Air Lines, in addition to other engineering experience with Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. and American Airlines. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, and executive training courses at Emory University in Atlanta and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He has served as the Chairman of the Engineering, Maintenance and Materiel Council of the Air Transport Association, and as the Chairman of the e-Business Committee for the same organization. In 2004, the association honored him with its prestigious Nuts and Bolts award. This honor is given in recognition of outstanding service and contributions to the airline industry over an extended period, and for succeeding in improving the systems or component processes related to airline engineering, maintenance or material management. Mr. Rieder: The company was founded in the early 1970s by a logging
