Mitchell J. Krebs is President and Chief Executive Officer of Coeur Mining, Inc., the largest U.S.-based primary silver producer and one of the country’s largest producers of gold. Mr. Krebs is a member of the board of directors of Coeur Mining and is a director of the National Mining Association, where he serves on the executive, nominating, and audit and finance committees. He is President of the Silver Institute, the international organization of miners, refiners, fabricators and manufacturers. Mr. Krebs is on the board of World Business Chicago, which leads the city's business retention, attraction and expansion efforts for economic growth and jobs. He also serves on the John G. Shedd Aquarium Society board of trustees, the board of the Big Shoulders Fund and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. During his 20-year tenure with Coeur, Mr. Krebs has led nearly $2 billion in capital-raising and debt-restructuring activities and has facilitated over $2 billion of acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to becoming the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, he was its Chief Financial Officer. He also held various positions in the corporate development department, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.
