Kaveh Safavi, M.D., J.D., is a Managing Director at Accenture, and the company’s Health Industry Lead for North America. Dr. Safavi oversees payer, provider and public health offerings and is responsible for Accenture’s health strategy, growth initiatives and market capabilities. He joined the company from Cisco Systems, Inc., in 2011, where he led the global health care practice. Before that, Dr. Safavi was Thomson Reuters’ Chief Medical Officer of Health Businesses and United HealthCare Services, Inc.’s Vice President of Medical Affairs. He also has served in leadership roles at Solucient, Humana Inc., HealthSpring and Alexian Hospital Network. Dr. Safavi brings more than two decades of leadership experience to Accenture Health. He earned a medical degree from Loyola University School of Medicine and a law degree from DePaul University College of Law. Dr. Safavi is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, and completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Profile
