Nadir Ali, as Chief Executive Officer of Sysorex Global Holdings Corp. and its subsidiaries, has fostered an organization committed to being a global leader in IT solutions and services. He oversees the strategic direction of the company and the worldwide operations of Sysorex, including multiple offices in the United States, the Middle East and India. Mr. Ali works with the Sysorex executive team and its 100-plus employees to deliver leading-edge IT solutions and services to governments and commercial customers globally, and brings to bear more than 15 years of experience in the consulting and high-tech industries. Prior to Sysorex, Mr. Ali was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tira Capital, an early-stage technology fund. Immediately prior to co-founding Tira Capital, he served as Vice President of Strategic Planning for Isadra, Inc., an e-commerce software startup. Mr. Ali led the company's capital-raising efforts and its eventual sale to VerticalNet. From 1995 through 1998, Mr. Ali was Vice President of Strategic Programs at the former Sysorex Information Systems, Inc. — acquired by Vanstar Government Systems in 1997 — a leading government computer systems integrator. Mr. Ali played a key operations role, and was responsible for implementing and managing the company's $1 billion-plus in multiyear contracts. From 1989 to 1994, he was a management consultant, first with Deloitte & Touche LLC in San Francisco and then independently. TWST: By way of background, please give us a snapshot of Sysorex’s history. And how has the company changed or evolved over the years?
Mr. Ali: Over the past couple of years,
