Philip S. Sassower is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of Xplore Technologies Corp., a manufacturer of rugged tablet computers. Based in Austin, Texas, the company makes durable tablets for enterprises such as utilities, energy companies, manufacturers, public safety agencies and the military. He also serves as the CEO of SG Phoenix LLC, a private equity firm based in New York. Mr. Sassower has more than 40 years of experience in business and investment. He served as CEO and Chairman of the board for Communication Intelligence Corporation, a supplier of electronic signature technology for financial institutions, and remains the majority shareholder. He also served as Chairman and CEO of Newpark Resources, an oil and gas services company, and Bates Manufacturing Company, which owned coal deposits. Mr. Sassower graduated from Queens College in New York with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and holds a Doctor of Laws from Harvard Law School. Profile
