Michael Gross is the Chief Executive Officer, Chairman and a founder of Solar Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ:SLRC) and Solar Senior Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ:SUNS). Between 2004 and 2006, Mr. Gross was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ:AINV), which he founded. In addition, Mr. Gross is a founder and former senior partner of Apollo Management, L.P. Prior to his 16-year tenure at Apollo Management, L.P., Mr. Gross worked in mergers and acquisitions at Drexel Burnham Lambert from 1987 to 1990. Mr. Gross currently serves on the board of directors of Global Ship Lease Inc. He also serves on the board of: Mt. Sinai Pediatrics Foundation, Kellogg Global Advisory Board and the Ross BBA Advisory Board. Mr. Gross earned a BBA in accounting from the University of Michigan and an M.M. from the J.L. Bruce Spohler is the Chief Operating Officer and a founder of Solar Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ:SLRC) and Solar Senior Capital Ltd. (NASDAQ:SUNS). Previously, Mr. Spohler was a managing director as well as a former Co-Head of U.S. Leveraged Finance at CIBC World Markets. Mr. Spohler joined CIBC World Markets in 1995 when it acquired the middle-market financing business, The Argosy Group, for which Mr. Spohler was a founding member and managing director. Prior to co-founding The Argosy Group in 1990, Mr. Spohler worked in mergers and acquisitions at Drexel Burnham Lambert from 1986 to 1990.
