GARRETT A. BEKKER III is Managing Director of Equity Research with Kim &
Company LLC and currently covers the information security industry. Mr.
Bekker has a diverse background in financial markets, including over
seven years in the securities business. Prior to joining Kim & Company,
Mr. Bekker was a Vice President of Equity Research at Kaufman Bros. LP
and Senior Technology Analyst at Josephthal & Co. He has also previously
worked as a financial journalist and taught economics and finance at the
undergraduate and graduate levels at St. John's University and the New
School University. He earned a BA degree with honors at the University
of Buffalo and completed all coursework for a PhD in Economics (magna
cum laude) at the New School University in New York. Profile
