HOCK E. TAN began service as Chief Executive Officer and President of
Integrated Circuit Systems, Inc., after the company's recapitalization
in May 11, 1999. Mr. Tan joined Integrated in August 1994 and was
appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February
1995. In April 1996, Mr. Tan was appointed to the additional post of
Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Integrated, Mr. Tan was Vice
President of Finance of Commodore International, Ltd., from 1992 to
1994. Mr. Tan served as Managing Director of Pacven Investment, Ltd.,
from 1988 to 1992 and was Managing Director of Hume Industries (M) Ltd.
from 1983 to 1988. His career also includes senior financial positions
with PepsiCo, Inc., and General Motors Corporation. Mr. Tan holds an MBA
from Harvard Business School and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from
