ROBERT M. MAINS is a Managing Director with Advest, Inc., concentrating
on healthcare services. Prior to joining the firm in 1996, he served as
a healthcare services analyst for First Albany Corporation. Mr. Mains
also designed and installed information systems for a variety of
brokerage back office departments at Drexel Burnham Lambert and was a
consultant at Arthur Andersen & Company. He earned a BA degree in
Applied Mathematics, cum laude, from Yale University and an MBA degree
in Finance from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Mains also holds
the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a NYSE supervisory
analyst. He is a member of the Association of Investment Management and
Research. He was named to The Wall Street Journal All Star Analysts
Survey four times and to the Reuters Survey twice. Married, with two
children, Mr. Mains resides in Saratoga Springs, New York. Profile
