Mark M. Comerford was elected President, CEO and Director of Haynes International, Inc., in October 2008. Before joining Haynes he was President of the alloy and international divisions of Brush Engineered Materials Inc. from 2004 to 2008. Prior to joining Brush Wellman in 1998, he served as Managing Director of Carpenter Technology Corporation's Asia Pacific operations headquartered in Singapore. Mr. Comerford has served in various manufacturing, metallurgical engineering, technical marketing and international roles in his career prior to joining Haynes. He serves on the boards of the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance and St. Vincent Health - St.Joseph Hospital of Kokomo, Ind. Mr. Comerford volunteers with Howard County Science, Inc., a nonprofit group that provides scholarships to primary and secondary school students who participate in science competitions in Howard County, Ind. Mr. Comerford received his bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering and materials science from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., and he received his MBA from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y.
