Degas A. Wright, CFA, is the President and CEO of Decatur Capital Management, Inc. As the Founding Principal of the firm, he is responsible for setting investment policy, asset allocation and security selection for clients' managed accounts. Mr. Wright graduated with a B.S. degree in mathematics from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and an M.S. degree in economics from The University of Texas at El Paso. He became a Captain in the U.S. Army. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and the NASD Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser license. Mr. Wright served as Corporate Treasurer for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, managing its reserve funds. He also served as member of the pension committee. Mr. Wright has numerous years of experience in economic analysis and investment management and, in addition to his career achievements, he has served on several nonprofit boards in leadership positions.
