GEORGE W. HALIGOWSKI is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
of ITLA Capital Corporation. His career spans over 24 years in both
international and domestic finance. He has functioned in various Wall
Street capacities along with expatriate assignments in the Tokyo capital
markets. His career in the international and domestic capital markets
includes tenures at Kidder Peabody, Shearson Lehman Brothers,
Prudential'Bache Securities and as Regional Director of Branch
Operations in Japan for Avco Financial Services. In addition, Mr.
Haligowski was the Founder and CEO of Halivest International, Ltd., an
international finance and asset management company. Mr. Haligowski has
been the Chairman, President and CEO of ITLA Capital Corporation and
Imperial Capital Bank for the past nine years. He is an alumni of
Harvard Business School and a graduate of the Securities Institute of
the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. In addition, he holds a
Master's of Banking from LSU Graduate School of Banking. Mr. Haligowski
serves on several Boards including the University of California San
Diego Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Operation Hope and the Young
