George B. Lemmon Jr. – Owosso Corporation (owos)

GEORGE B. LEMMON, JR., President and CEO of Owosso Corporation, received a B.A. in English and American Literature from Harvard College and joined Owosso Corporation after graduation in 1983. During the summers prior to joining Owosso on a full time basis, Mr. Lemmon held various manufacturing jobs throughout the organization. Mr. Lemmon has been responsible for Owosso's acquisition program since 1985 and was instrumental in Owosso's Initial Public Offering in October of 1994. Prior to Owosso's IPO, Mr. Lemmon was the CFO and in September of 1995, he succeeded his father, a founding principal of Owosso, as CEO. Mr. Lemmon serves on the following Boards: The Board of Trustees of The Children's Hospital Foundation, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Pencoyd Iron, as well as, day & Zimmerman. Also, Mr. Lemmon is an active member of the Young President's Organization. He has been a National Squash Doubles Champion and is an avid golfer, skier, and traveler.
