GEOFF TATE is Chief Executive Officer, Director and a Board member of
Rambus Inc. He has provided the vision and operational leadership that
has successfully guided the company from startup to industry leader. He
has been Chief Executive Officer and a Director since joining the
company just after its founding in 1990, and was also President until
1999. Prior to Rambus, Mr. Tate was Senior Vice President and Corporate
Officer, microprocessor and peripherals, at Advanced Micro Devices, a
semiconductor manufacturer. He also held various marketing and product
line management positions during his 11-year career at AMD. Mr. Tate
holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of
Alberta and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business
