Gene Isenberg – Nabors Industries Inc (nbr)

GENE ISENBERG is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Nabors Industries, Inc., the world's largest land and offshore platform drilling company. He has led the Houston-based company since 1987. He serves as a Director of Danielson Holding Corp., an insurance holding company, and is a member of the Board of Governors of the American Stock Exchange, the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), and the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. From 1969 to 1982, Mr. Isenberg was Chairman of the Board and principal shareholder of Genimar, Inc., a steel trading and building products manufacturing company, which he sold in 1982. From 1955 to 1968, Mr. Isenberg was employed in various management capacities with the Exxon Corp. Mr. Isenberg received his BA from the University of Massachusetts in 1950, his MA from Princeton University in 1952, and he participated in the Program for Senior Executives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1966. He also was an Instructor at Princeton University from 1951 - 1952. He served as an Officer (Lt. jg) USN from 1952 - 1955. Mr. Isenberg has been the principal sponsor of the Parkside School for learning disabled children. The University of Massachusetts' 'Eugene M. Isenberg School of Management' is named in recognition of his significant contributions toward new facilities, his funding of scholarships, and his endowment of a professorship.
