GARY WETSEL is Executive Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial
Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Aspect Communications
Corporation. He brings more than 30 years of experience in
leadership positions in finance, treasury, manufacturing,
facilities, legal, and information technology organizations
within voice and data technology companies that have changed the
communications landscape. Mr. Wetsel has responsibility for
Aspect's Global Operations organization, which includes finance,
information technology, manufacturing and logistics, facilities,
and real estate functions. Mr. Wetsel came to Aspect in 2002 from
Zhone Technologies, a telecommunications vendor, where he was
Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Zhone, he served as
President and CEO of WarpSpeed Communications, where he developed
the company's broadband strategy and brought to market its first
Dynamic Private Network (DPN). Prior to WarpSpeed, Mr. Wetsel was
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Wyse
Technology, the leading computer terminal provider. While Mr.
Wetsel was COO, Wyse delivered the industry's first Windows-based
terminal, while streamlining manufacturing and distribution
processes, which resulted in a $40 million plus increase in cash
flow. Earlier, Mr. Wetsel was President, CEO and Director of
Borland International, where he directed the company's successful
turnaround, restructuring the company, building its credibility
with customers and shareholders, and returning the company to
profitability within six months. Before that, Mr. Wetsel was CFO
at Octel Communications during a period of rapid revenue growth
and CFO at Ungermann-Bass, a local area network supplier, as the
company's revenue grew from $100 to $250 million. Prior to
Ungermann-Bass, Mr. Wetsel was Group Controller at the Rolm
Corporation, where he oversaw the financial responsibilities of
13 subsidiaries with total revenues of $650 million. Mr. Wetsel
is a Certified Public Accountant and received his BS in
Accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. Profile
